With the occurance of Major devastating Earthquakes more than 7 on the Richter scale in CHILE, BAJA CALIFORNIA, CHINA, & many smaller quakes & the Eruption of Volanoe in Iceland , It is high time that some research Foundations could take up the research project for earthquake predictions based on Planetary Effects. The Richter Scale measurement by a Seismogram is only a Mechanical device wherein the movement of the Pendulam is recorded on a graph. It is only Post Mortem of a dead man. In this century of Scientific development some other parameters of nature should also be put to test On the basis of my research for acedemic interest I wish to put on record that before the end of this month more major Earthquakes & volcanic Eruption may occur near the full moon day on 28th.The Volcanic Eruption started around the No Moon Day about a week back

Global warming is a hot topic & the Life on the Planet earth may vanish after 2012. Whether it is right or wrong the Movie could be money spinner.
As a structural Engineer I wish to point out that the Center of Gravity of the Earth may shift due to construction of increasing number of multistoeried buildings & excavation of Oil, Coal & other Ores from ground. Number of disastrous Earthquakes may also increase.
All the Planets including earth are tied to one another by interplanetary gravitational force & revolve around the Sun on a fixed path. The Earth has a Eliptical Path. This path may change if we disturb the natural structure of the Earth. a small flap coming out of the Astronauts vehicle claimed the life of all the Astronauts & failure of the mission.

In the classic story from the Old Testament of the Bible, the people of the Earth were building a colossal staged temple-tower or multi-storeyed ziggurat - that would reach heaven. But did they really believe they could reach their Gods?
It is likely to disbalance the rotation of the Earth on it's own axis/around the Sun. & tilting of the Earth. A slight variation in the shifting of the eliptical path of movement of Earth will result in catostrophic consequences for life on Earth.

Hong Kong,(international finance tower) Zin Mau tower( china), Juangdow west center(china), Petronas tower(Malasia), taipei, Economic disaster due to the Dubai Tower is the latest , Similarly in the USA more than 50 multistoried buildings which are 60 floors or more exist in New York only.
All Structural Engineering Calculations are based on the Center of Gravity Bending Moment, Torsion Shear Force etc. It is high time that the Civil Engineers of the 20 th century revaluate Gas Emissions in the manufacture of Steel, Coment, Plastics used in the construction of these buildings. & Subsequently the amount of Energy needed for Air Conditioning, incenerators , maintanance etc.

Planets induce Earthquakes

Todays Earthquakes 7.0, 7.8,7.4,7.2 in Vantu Island region clearly prove that there is link between the Planetary Movements & Earthquakes. In my earlier Blogpost on 16th August it was stated that the seismic activity will continue even after the Earthquakes Of Japan,andaman, California. As expected the following significant quakes have occured since then

Out of the 9 significant Eartquakes occuring in the year 2009 seven have occure in the last couple of months. Is it a chance? Do the seismologists have answer to it?

As expected in my earlier Note since 16th August when a major earthquake 7 on the Richter hit Japan & Andaman Nicobar Islands the earthquake tremors are continuously occurring in some part of the world. Extensive damage to life & Property would have taken place if it was in populated area. This increased seismic activity may continue in this month, in particular in the coming few days.

With the occurance of of Major Earthquakes 7 on the Richter scale in Gulf of California , Tokyo & Andaman Nicobar Islands within the last week the expected increase in Earthquake occurances is taking place & may continue in the coming two months because it is the core portion of the second half of the year. It is high time that some reasearch Foundations could take up the research project for earthquake predictions. On 22nd July a total Solar Eclipse is scheduled to occur. Normaly it is of interest to three categories

Astronomers who flock to place of occurance & try to see the Diamond Ring with their Telescopes & other Gadgets which they have in their possesion. astromers work on the Heleocentric system

Astrologers- Who start calculating the effect of the Solar Eclipse on the happenings on the Earth. They work on the Geo-Centric System wherein the Earth is the center of observation. Often Eartqukes & other Natural Calamities are predicted.

Religious Persons - In some parts of the world Religious sentiments are attached to the Solar Eclipse & people are advised to take a dip in the river & do fasting

Astro Tourism - This time a new section of of the Society is emerging. Some tour Operators are conducting Charter Flights time to see the Solar Eclipse more clearly

After the tremors of Texas Central Californis has been rocked by moderate quakes. Simultaneously Mediternian sea, & Indonesia have also been rocked. The seismologists need some new light in their researchwork as to why the frquency of earthquakes is increasing with begining of the Sun's Journey towards the southern hemisphere

NEWS / PREDICTIONS
I appreciate the untiring efforts of USGS. & Google
I have some comments regarding Earthquake research programs.
Regarding recording & disseminating the informations is a good thing. but I am of the opinion that efforts for finding some links to the causes of Earthquakes are poor. Lately someone from Brazil has predicted that on 18th July 2008 a 8.1 Earthquake will hit Phillipines. I do not know if it will be true or not but in my opinion it might be worthwhile observing around those dates the behaviour of animals, Planetary Positions, Rock movements, Gas emissions etc. As a matter of coincidense a Solar eclipse will occur on 1st August & Lunar Eclipse will occur on August 16.& it believed that the Seismic activity often increases around the Eclipses.

(1) FUTURE OF MAN MADE OBJECTS
Buildings, Machines, Medicines, Eatable, Chemicals etc.
If a Civil Engineer understands the forces like Tension, Compression, shear, torsion etc acting on the materials used in the building he can predict the future of a building/dam/sewer line/ pipe line etc. to reasonably good extent. Details can be discussed in a later blog.
(2) FUTURE OF GOD MADE OBJECTS -
Plsanet Earth, Man, Animals, Birds, Trees, Seasons, Planets, Earthquakes, & other Natural disaster.
To understand the future of these God made objects we have to take the help of known aspects of the mysterious Universe. More in next Blog
